| About Our Designer-Artist |
As an adolescent and young adult, Happy designed and created jewelry and belts using a bead loom and also stringing with wire and seed beads.
Later in her life, after a 15 year career as a clinical massage therapist, her creative nature to design and make fine jewelry again called to her.
The natural progression introduced copper, brass and sterling silver wire into her jewelry designs. This expansion allowed the addition of a vast selection of semi-precious and precious gems as focal points within her elegant to whimsical jewelry creations. Now, all of the wire used in her filigree sculptured jewelry settings is either 14/20 rolled gold (gold filled) or sterling silver. Many of her whimsical ideas come to her from the surrounding natural setting where she and her husband, Tom, live in an A-frame cabin at 8600 feet elevation in Utah. Her smoke-free studio is located in the A-frame's second story. It is a rustic and warm workspace with lots of light.
Even though some of her jewelry designs appear similar, there are no two that are identical as she sculpts each individual piece of fine jewelry using only her hands and small hand tools.
Her special jewelry radiates the happiness and contentment of the life she lives.
